Terms & Conditions
Last updated 23 August 2026
These terms govern your use of UK Superstore and every order you place with us. Please read the first section carefully — it describes something different from an ordinary online shop.
1. What we actually do
We are a personal shopping service, not a retailer. We do not hold stock, and we do not sell you the goods. When you place an order, you are instructing us to buy specified items from UK retailers on your behalf and in your name as principal, to receive them at our UK hub, to consolidate them into a single parcel, and to export that parcel to your address.
This distinction decides most of what follows. The sale of the goods themselves is between you and the UK retailer, on that retailer's terms. What you buy from us is the sourcing, consolidation and export service, which is included in the price shown against each item, plus the delivery charge.
2. Who we are
Lorenzen Tonna Services Limited, trading as UK Superstore, company number SC602737 (Companies House, Scotland).
Registered address: 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN, United Kingdom. UK VAT number: GB314369214.
Contact: hello@mysuperstore.uk.
3. Prices, and why they can change
All prices on this site are shown in euro and include the UK VAT the retailer charges us. They are converted from the retailer's pound price at the rate stated in your basket, and each unit carries a small fixed handling amount which is returned to you as a reduction on the delivery charge.
A listed price is an estimate until we buy. We display prices as the retailer last published them, and a retailer may change a price, withdraw a product or run out of stock between your order and our purchase. Where that happens we will contact you before proceeding, and you may cancel the affected line for a full refund of it. We will never charge you more than the total you agreed without asking you first.
The price shown against an item is the price you pay for it. Our 10% service charge is already inside it, and so is the share of the UK VAT we expect to recover on that item and pass back to you. Nothing further is added to the goods at checkout. Delivery is charged separately, at the carrier's own rate for the weight and destination of the finished parcel.
4. Import VAT and customs duty
Within the EU, where the goods in your consignment are worth €150 or less, you may choose to prepay at checkout. Two separate amounts make that up, and your basket shows each of them before you pay:
- Import VAT at your own country's rate, charged on the goods together with the delivery charge. We collect this and remit it under our Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) registration. IOSS is a VAT scheme and covers import VAT only.
- Our customs clearance charge, a flat amount per type of product in the parcel, for classifying the goods and preparing the customs declaration. This is our charge and is not a tax.
Consignments of €150 or less in goods value are relieved of EU customs duty, so no duty is charged on them. If you choose not to prepay, your postal operator will collect the import VAT from you on delivery and will usually add a handling fee of its own.
Above €150, prepayment is not available under the scheme. Your own customs authority will assess the consignment, including any customs duty, and the carrier or postal operator will collect it from you before delivery.
Outside the EU, we quote no import charges at all. Your total does not include them. Import duty, tax and any clearance fees are assessed by your own customs authority and are payable by you as the importer. We cannot tell you in advance what they will be, and we will not guess.
You are the importer of record. You confirm that the goods you order may lawfully be imported into your country and that you will provide any identification your customs authority requires. Where a parcel is refused entry, seized or returned for a reason of that kind, the delivery charge is not refundable.
5. Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your order. The full notice, including the deadline, how to tell us and what we refund, is on the Returns & right to cancel page, which forms part of these terms.
6. Group orders
Where you order as part of a group order, your order is placed unpaid and its delivery charge is provisional until the organiser closes the group. At that point the combined parcel is priced once and the carrier's charge is divided between the orders in it by weight, and you are emailed a link to pay your share. Nothing is charged to you before then.
Group orders are only offered where import charges can be prepaid, because one parcel cannot be half prepaid. If no member pays, or the organiser does not close the group within the stated period, the group and every order in it are cancelled and nothing is charged.
7. Things we will not buy
We can only send what a carrier will accept. We do not source or ship items that are prohibited or restricted in the post — among them pressurised containers, flammable liquids, many batteries shipped on their own, and anything requiring a specialist carrier. We also do not buy gift cards, digital codes, vouchers or experiences, since none of them is a parcel.
If we discover after you order that an item cannot be sent, we will cancel that line and refund it in full.
8. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates. We buy from several retailers and consolidate, so a parcel leaves once its slowest line has arrived at our hub. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us.
It is your responsibility to give a complete and correct address. Where a parcel is undeliverable because the address was wrong, any re-shipping cost is yours.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which these terms do not affect.
Subject to that, our liability arising out of an order is limited to the total you paid for that order. We are not liable for the quality, fitness or description of goods manufactured and sold by a third-party retailer, though we will pass on and pursue any claim you have against that retailer, and we will refund you where the retailer accepts one.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country, and you may bring proceedings there.
11. Changes
We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
